Hi Jennifer,
You know I had to laugh when you said Sammy. I've had Sammy's in my life since I was 2. They've always, even to date, seemed to be a bit self willed but loving. Dr. Dobson has a great book on the Self Willed Child. He's a Christian Chil…

Dear Friends in Christ,
Just an SOS for all those who live in Illinois! We have much to pray about and share. While many of you are young families, we are called to be aware as in Matthew 25: 1-10. We are urged to be vigilant for the Bridegroom. We…
Hi Jennifer,
As a practicing speech pathologist, my first thought is that there is a significant disparity in communication skills between the 2 and 5 year olds. Competition/sibling rivalry can surely ratchet up the ante. The biting is a form of com…

Hi Joanne-
Just a note to let you know that I have the same situation with my grandchildren... I pray for their baptisms.. my children were raised as Baptists (their father is Baptist and we married in the Catholic Church)-biggest mistake I ever agreed to. But, they are great kids and believe in God, etc... but have not been baptised. I have even confessed this as I see it as a huge error on my part.
So, I offer my prayers for their baptisms and salvation of their souls and hope that they will get baptised when they are 12 yrs old or so. The oldest is 8 yrs.
The Lord hears the sincere prayers of a mother's heart and will help. He has never failed me and I trust in Him so much. He will do the same for you.
What an absolute delight to hear from you! I have become traditional also..I was taught by the sisters as well...
Sr. Pat Sullivan C.S.J. influenced my life profoundly, and I still keep in touch with her! Her brother, Fr. James Sullivan wrote a famous book, "My Meditations On The Gospel" which is still in print! It is pre-Vatican.
I love the saints, especially St. Ann, St Francis of Assisi, St. Padre Pio, St. Teresa of Avila, and Most Holy St. Anthony, and of course Our Blessed Mother.
I love the Scriptures....have favorite authors..I love Henri Nouwen,
Gloria Hutchinson..I am reading all of the time.
Jesus, in the Most Holy Eucharist is my life!
My daughter Jenn is expecting another baby in October, please keep her in your prayers as well as a dear friend of mine whose daughter is expecting twins! Gina is an older, first time Mom, so she needs extra special prayers!

Well, Praise God, I feel as if I found a new friend!.. Thank you for your prayer support as well! Yes indeed, prayer warriors.....have you ever been involved with the Catholic Charismatic Renewal?
I have, for almost 30 years, although I am more contemplative in prayer style and although I am a secular Franciscan for 28 years, I have a deep love for the Carmelite spirituality.
Looking foward to getting to know you and sharing our deep love for Jesus and Mary.
I offered my Holy Communion for you and Kelly who has asked for prayers, and I prayed to St. Ann for you.
