I "try" to "work from home". I have the same trouble with selling things mentioned in another discussion. Although, I will admit I am doing a little better with Pampered Chef than I have done with so…

Hi ladies, I have tried a couple different times to work from home selling things, and I'm just not very good at it. I don't know if it's the selling or if it's the time management. I think it might…

New year! Time to get your goals thought out, written down and one action item your willing to take this week to help achieve that goal. I am working to get back to a consistent schedule so I'm going to sit down with my calendar this week, pencil in my "standing appointments" and begin "calling out" the days/evenings I'm able to do my parties. LOVE doing 2 a week so my goal is to be consistent at 8 a month. No more 6 one month, 12 the next! YIKES.

What about you? Care to share any goals?

Welcome Leticia and Anne! I would love to have the other members of our group help you with some suggestions.

Anne, do you have any hobbies or things that interest you that you might be able to parlay into an income producing venture?

Leticia, wondering if you might get some suggestion from Danielle Bean who runs the Faith and Family magazine/web site? She might be a great resource or she may be able to point you in the right direction.

Wishing you both good luck and success in finding an "at home" opportunity that works for you and your families.

Hi everyone.
I have my children in school for the first time, and now have the whole day to do 'nothing' but work from home. I am a freelance writer trying to build my reputation and earn enough to help support the family. The first three years have been very exciting in terms of personal fulfillment, but low on cash. Any suggestions?

I manage a few properties for my husbands family so I guess I technically work from home. I only make about $400 a month. I am interested in making more money from home so I'm joining this group to get some ideas. We've got seven boys to educate.

I love being a WAHM! Although right now it's more of a hobby.

What's your favorite part of working from home?

I'll echo Jennifer R about the church craft shows. They are a very low key, inexpensive way to gain lots of experience and feedback.

Welcome to the group, Jennifer and have you taken your items to local church craft shows or holiday events? It might be a good way to just get your name out there. I know when I began my business 10 years ago no one knew who we were and I used craft shows, Christmas Bazaars and the like to get my "foot in the door." Best of luck to you on your new business venture. Got a name for it yet?

Hi ladies! I am working towards becoming a WAHM and am excited to join this group! I have been making baby things (nursing covers, bibs, carriers, clothes, etc.) as gifts for friends for awhile now and with the encouragement of those around me, I've finally started working towards starting an online business. I don't have huge plans for this, but am working towards earning just a little extra money :). I am really excited!

I can relate Jenny. Been working from home since I became a mom. Wishing you many more "sweet spots" in the days ahead! ;-)
